We are incredibly proud that we contribute to a healthier world. We were the first dog food company in the world to offset climate change with

100% and several other dog food companies have now followed in our footsteps. The fantastic companies that have made our dream a reality are

We compensate in projects that are certified with the Gold Standard and the UN (CDM).

Carbon offsetting is a way to take responsibility for the carbon dioxide emissions that we ourselves cause.

Manufacturing and transporting goods, especially the production of animal products such as dog and cat food, results in high carbon dioxide emissions.

When we offset our carbon footprint, we pay for the amount of carbon dioxide our product has caused in the ENTIRE manufacturing chain, from egg hatching to seed. The money is invested in projects that reduce the same amount of carbon dioxide we have caused – so that the total becomes zero (and often - even better - negative, since we offset MORE than 100% of our products).

Reducing emissions is done by helping someone else reduce their emissions, so the planet's total emissions are reduced.

Climate compensation therefore usually takes place through various climate projects in developing countries, such as energy efficiency, investment in renewable energy, tree planting and forest conservation.

In order for us to be sure that we actually achieve climate benefits when we offset climate change, the climate projects are certified. The projects are both certified by the UN and have Gold Standard certification (which is supported by, among others, WWF). WE have actively selected all projects with wind power, due to all the microplastics that are released during operation, as well as unclear information about final disposal and general environmental impact for residents in areas around wind power, around the world.
