A package of unwashed SWEDISH camel wool, fluffy as clouds ❤️ about 5-7 grams in a cellophane bag
No chemicals, just wool. The camel sheds its winter fur and then we take care of it 😊 and the camel continues to graze in its pasture.
Note: May contain small traces of shavings and straw.
Camel wool in Nosework – guide
Take a small tuft of camel wool (about pea size).
Drop a very small amount of hydrosol/essential oil onto the wool, or roll the wool in a scented patch on metal/glass for a weaker scent.
Let the wool air out for a few minutes before use.
Place the wool in a scent holder that ventilates but doesn't leak too much scent.
Cheap and simple fragrance holders
1. Mini tea strainer
Cheap, perfect ventilation, easy to place or hang.
2. Snuff jar with holes
Make holes with a drill or heated nail.
Good for outdoors and under benches.
3. Film can / lens can
Cheap and rainproof. Make small holes for ventilation.
4. Metal screw can
Durable and easy to drill into. Stable fragrance.
5. Metal tealight holder
Turn upside down and make holes. Good in tight spaces.
6. Straw hide
Cut a straw into 10 cm pieces.
Tape or perforate the ends. Creates linear scent trails.
Placement of camel wool
Use gloves to avoid contamination.
Place in a breathable container.
Attach to trees, shelves, fences, boxes, beds, cracks, etc. depending on the environment.
Storage
Store scented and clean camel wool in separate airtight jars.
Label the jars carefully.
Sustainability
Camel wool can be used for a long time.
Replace when it becomes dirty, darkened or smells bad.
Benefits of camel wool
More durable in moisture and cold than cotton.
Provides a stable and natural fragrance.
Does not release fibers as easily.
Especially good for outdoor training.
